Thousands came to enjoy the Highland Games in Inverness, and we're delighted that the games will be back again in July at Bught Park, Inverness.
Since the Inverness Highland Games were founded in 1837, the meeting has been one of Scotland's premier Highland games, and this year promises to be better than ever.
The games afford us all the opportunity to get together from far and wide to enjoy these traditional and competitive events alongside the music and culture of this part of the world. Look forward to the classic events like Highland dancing, caber tossing, strongest man and woman events, piping competitions, haggis hurling and everything besides.
As well as all the competitive events we expect there will also be some of the finest local food and drink retailers, alongside numerous retail stalls showcasing some of the finest crafts and produce from the north of Scotland.
We can't wait to see some familiar local faces alongside visitors from across Scotland and beyond for an unbeatable family-friendly day of competition and colour.
The games are delivered by The Highland Council's Inverness Events and Festivals Working Group.
