Things to do Aigas Golf Course

Aigas Golf Course

Aigas 9 hole Golf Course nestles spectacularly between the Aigas forest and the peaceful river Beauly just 5 minutes drive from the bustling village of Beauly.

Aigas Golf Course

The course opened for play in 1993. It was thought that it could complement our already well-established holiday cottage business and make use of some poor agricultural land overlooking the farm. However, golf course designer, Bill Mitchell PGA of Grantown on Spey, had other idea and quickly dismissed the idea of constructing a course on steep terrain and opted for the more naturally undulating land on the valley floor which has proved perfect for the par 33 course.

The course is renowned for being challenging for experienced golfers but also forgiving for less experienced players. Large greens and wide undulating fairways are a popular feature. The course has matured well during the first 15 years of play and we strive to keep it well manicured at all times. We have added a number of water features, bunkers and recently a well-equipped practise area adjacent to the clubhouse. We are always looking to make further improvements to enhance this challenging course.

Aigas Golf Club was formed in 1994 and members enjoy a variety of competitions throughout the summer months. Having a small club at Aigas enables visitors to enjoy a game at almost any time, although booking is advisable for play at weekends and for large groups. We always aim to offer our holiday clients and golfing visitors a warm welcome and are happy to provide any information on golfing in the Highlands. Golf clubs and trolleys are available for hire. We also have one golf car available for anyone unable to walk the course. Aigas Cottage Guests can enjoy a 50% discount off green fees.
