Top Tips for Staying in a Hostel

Local Insights: Hostel staff are often locals who can provide valuable insights into the best local eateries, hidden gems, and activities in the area.

Book direct: There are many good reasons for booking direct with an accommodation. Firstly, you get to know the business owners or staff prior to your arrival, it cuts out the middle man if you use a third party booking service and means you have easier, direct contact should you have any questions or need to amend your stay. Many offer better prices if you book direct, it’s a great incentive and benefits you and the local business.

Pack Smart: Bring earplugs and a sleep mask to ensure a peaceful night's rest in a shared dormitory.

Join Activities: Participate in hostel-organized events and outings. It's a great way to meet people and discover the local culture.

Adventure Hub: Use hostels as your base camp for exploring Inverness, Loch Ness, and the wider Scottish Highlands. They are well-connected to transportation options and tour providers.

Respect Quiet Hours: Be mindful of other guests during quiet hours to ensure everyone has a comfortable stay.
