View down Loch Ness from Fort Augustus

Lilybank

Recently modernized, Lilybank is a spacious period cottage with comfortable bedrooms, ensuite and family bathrooms, woodburning stove, lovely river and loch views, ample parking and extensive outdoor space. It has been used as a family holiday home for over 50 years. Tucked away in a quiet corner of the popular village of Fort Augustus on the South end of Loch Ness, with all its hotels, restaurants and excellent amenities, it is the perfect place from which to explore the highlands with both East and West Coasts within easy reach.

The house itself sleeps 6 (+1 for single family occupancy, with child’s put up bed available, and travel cot). There is a large master bedroom with ensuite shower room and private sitting room, a double bedroom and a twin room. All rooms have river views. Downstairs, there is a cosy sitting room with woodburning stove, a kitchen/dining room with seating area and large picture window overlooking the river and on to the Loch beyond. There is also a downstairs toilet and utility room with plenty of space to dry clothes. Outside the property is a lawned garden to the front, a parking area and to the side of the house, a large wooded area, perfect for making dens and exploring. Please note that the grounds extend to the river where the water is unfenced. There are a number of lovely walks you can do from the house.

The centre of the village is a 5 minute walk where you can pick up a cruise on Loch Ness, hire bikes, play golf, or visit any of the many shops, hotels and restaurants. There are 2 museums and a Rare Breeds park in the village too. Further afield are watersports, skiing, fishing, walking and many wonderful day trips to most parts of the Highlands and Islands.
