The Ratisbon is a large and beautifully decorated apartment which has a private terrace with views out across the Monastery Lawn towards Loch Ness. The Ratisbon can be accessed either loch side through the terrace sliding doors or through the Abbey Church. The large reception room, master bedroom and guest bedroom all benefit form stunning views across the loch. The reception room is stylishly designed with contemporary furniture including a large corner sofa, a flat screen TV (with Freeview), a DVD player and iPod docking station. There is outdoor furniture on the terrace in order that you can enjoy an “al fresco” dining experience in this exceptional setting.
The large master bedroom has a double bed, with a built in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with a bath and a walk-in shower. There is a guest twin bedroom and a family bathroom. The property can accommodate a maximum of 4 people. The kitchen/dining room has granite work surfaces and is fully fitted with electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, washer/dryer and a full compliment of high quality kitchen equipment and utensils. There is a dining table within the kitchen/dining room but you also have the flexibility of a glass dining table in the reception room where you enjoy romantic meals looking out over the loch. There is also a large hallway with plenty of room to kick off your outdoor clothes and boots before relaxing in the comfort of this stunning apartment.
The Highland Club is just a 2 minute walk from the village of Fort Augustus where you can find a variety of stores and places to eat and also organise your boat trip to try and spot the legendary Nessie!
All of our guests can benefit from the use of the beautiful swimming pool, located in the Pugin designed Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, together with a steam room and sauna. The complex is serviced by a small changing room, shower and storage lockers. The small gym is located on the floor below with weights, running, rowing and cycling equipment.
For those who wish to enjoy the grounds and setting further there is a huge host of additional on-site amenities which include a BBQ area, an Outdoor Adventure playground for the children, Tennis court, 5 a-side football, Badminton net, Table Tennis, Croquet and Boules, Giant chess and Cricket.
There is also a bike hire facility on-site.
After a long day of activities guests can relax or meet new friends in the beautiful Club Lounge where they will find a full size snooker table, table football, a games cupboard and comfortable sofas and chairs (many covered in the unique Highland Club tartan).
