Gruinyards is a gorgeous top floor apartment in the historic Abbey at Fort Augustus, on the shores of Loch Ness. It has stunning views along the Loch from the living room window while the bedrooms look out over the Abbey Cloisters and the neighbouring hills.
Sensitively converted from a monks’ dormitory, Gruinyards is very bright and spacious with large rooms and high sloping ceilings. Although contemporary in style Gruinyards retains many original features including the large Gothic window looking right down Loch Ness.
The apartment is beautifully appointed and very comfortably sleeps up to 6 people and offers the option of a large family room.
Located on the tip of Loch Ness, midway along the Great Glen Way, it makes a perfect base for exploring the Scottish Highlands.
Gruinyards is part of the Highland Club set in the old Abbey at Fort Augustus. Guests have access to all the facilities at the Abbey including the beautiful swimming pool in an old chapel which also has a sauna and steam room attached. There is also a well equipped exercise room, a resident’s lounge and games room, a tennis court, badminton, croquet and adventure playground outside and table tennis and snooker inside. Children welcome from any age

Short Break Pricing
The price can be checked on the calendar below but as a guide the prices for different lengths of stay will be as follows:
2 nights – ~65% of the weekly cost
3 nights – ~75% of the weekly cost
4 nights – ~85% of the weekly cost
5 nights – ~90% of the weekly cost
6 nights – ~95% of the weekly cost
The pricing favours longer stays but this is always the case with self catering properties, and yet you may well find that for a family even a single night works out cheaper than a hotel but with much more space and far better views!
Also we know that once you arrive you wouldn’t want to leave, so it really does make sense to stay for as long as you can!
