A great choice of Christmas Events around Inverness for all ages!
The first snow of the year has fallen in the Highlands, so this can only mean that Christmas is not far away now.
Time to investigate all the “christmassy” goings-on around our area!
Christmas cheer kicked off in Inverness on 22nd November when the city’s Christmas lights were switched on. The city will be busy of course with everyone looking for the perfect Christmas gift, but don’t forget you can find great one-off and unique gifts at one of our area’s Craft Fairs – try the Arts, Craft and Food Fair at Eden Court on 4th-6th December or the Christmas Shopping Day & Craft Fair at Glen Ord Distillery near Beauly on 29th November (this can be combined with a cheeky festive dram to keep warm!).
Christmas wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the panto and in Inverness, you have the choice this year of “Peter Pan” at Eden Court Theatre or “Babes in the Wood” at Florian’s Little Theatre near Bught Park. You can find all the details in our Events Calendar.
For the wee ones there is the annual Winter Wonderland event at Whin Park where you can meet Santa and his reindeer and for the adults Achnagairn Castle are holding a Christmas Party night in their wonderful ballroom for the first time this year on 12th December.
And just to make you feel better about all the extra calories you are likely to consume over the festive season, why not join the Inverness Santa Run at Inverness Leisure? The entry fee for this run includes a Santa suit for every runner!
If you’re not in the Christmas spirit yet after all these great events, then…bah humbug!
