Nominations are sought for Visit Inverness Loch Ness Ltd (Inverness and Loch Ness Tourism Business Improvement District) Board of Directors

As per the Articles of Association of Visit Inverness Loch Ness Ltd, it is a requirement that annually a third of the Board should retire at the AGM ( 2nd AGM onwards) and can only stand for reselection once. The Board are therefore seeking nominations to fill three vacant positions.

The directors retiring this year are: Graeme Bell, Robbie Bremner and Joyce Arbuckle

Nominees should either be owners who may nominate themselves or employees of levy paying organisations and be nominated with the approval of the eligible vote holder for that company.

Nominees should ideally be competent to a high standard in one of the following skills: digital marketing, planning and strategy, stakeholder engagement, HR or Finance.
Each nominee should complete the form available HERE and return it together with a short (max 250 words) personal statement describing why you are standing for the position of Director and what skills you can bring to the Board.

The time commitment for Directors is 1 day per month. Directors are expected to attend and take an active part in Board meetings (4 per annum) and one of the Board sub groups, presently Marketing & Promotion, Business Tourism and Strategy which meet on average once every two months. Directors are also expected to attend VisitInvernessLochNess networking events and, if required, other events at which a presence is expected of VisitInvernessLochNess. Finally, we draw the attention of nominees to the Director Code of Conduct HERE to which directors are expected to adhere to.

The appointment is for a 3 year term.

The closing date for nominations is 30th August 2018. Nominations should be returned electronically to the email address at the foot of the nomination form.
Should more than three nominations be received for the three available positions, an election will be held.
The Timetable for appointment of the Directors is set out as follows:

16th August 2018 - Call for Nominations sent to all Visit Inverness Loch Ness Ltd levy payers

30th August 2018 - Closing date for Board nominations and supporting personal statements

If only three nominations are received there will be no election and the nominees will be invited on to the Board.

31st August 2018 - Board election papers sent out electronically where more than three nominations are received.

13th September 2018 - Deadline for votes to be submitted

14th September 2018 - Nominees and members notified of results

20th September 2018 - AGM
