In partnership with Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), we have launched a tourism specific programme of digital training and support. The aim is to help our members enhance their skills to harness the power of digital and grow their businesses.  There are a total 20 workshops to choose from within the DTS Programme.

Learn how to launch a cross platform campaign using Google AdWords, Landing Pages, Social Media Advertising and Email Marketing. We’ll share best practice and talk through keyword methodology, how to write great ad copy, improve your quality score and test landing page conversion rate. By the end of the workshop you will have the ability to set up and launch campaigns, and be confident to run these campaigns based on your tourism business goals.

Inspiring Visitors with Video Content - Glen Mhor Hotel, Inverness 12 – 3pm, Monday 11 December

YouTube has over a billion users, almost one-third of all internet users. Nearly 60% of people watch videos to help them choose accommodations for their travel. Video is an essential asset for online marketing, especially in tourism. Websites, email and social media platforms allow businesses to host and broadcast video, often live video.

This hands-on, creative workshop will show delegates how to use an iPad or iPhone to shoot, edit and upload great videos to YouTube, including voiceovers, background music, and titles. Note that videos can be used across other channels as well. Learn why as humans we respond much better to video and, people in video, along with practical tips on making quality video content using mobile devices.
