Inverness Loch Ness Welcome

Hello and welcome to this, the first post from the Inverness Loch Ness TBID, that is short for Tourism Business Improvement District. The new TBID replaces the former Destination Loch Ness or, as you most likely knew it, Visit Loch Ness, but while this company was successful in its own right, in the fullness of time it became increasingly obvious to all at Destination Loch Ness that joining forces with Inverness would create a much more complete all round destination, better in every way for visitors and businesses alike and as Inverness, the hub of the Highlands, is just eight miles from Loch Ness, it seemed like a no brainer to be partners in developing the destination.
After much hard work all round, the Inverness Loch Ness TBID was launched on the 26th March 2015, the newest and a first in Scotland. Our priority, in this our first year, is to build a new website which has now been launched - www.visitinvernesslochness.com so our first appeal to readers of this Blog post is to add our website to your favourites and keep checking in for updates, because, although the site is new, it will be evolving over the coming months into a comprehensive information source for the area, as well as the official trusted organisation for online booking of accommodation, online shopping and the reference point for events in Inverness and Loch Ness. We will do our very best to do as our name suggests and improve the visitor experience of both Loch Ness and Inverness.
One category of visitors that, until now, has barely been catered for at all around Inverness is business and conference tourism, despite the long term knowledge on our part that the area could become a perfect conference destination for those looking for something a bit special. With that in mind we have developed a comprehensive business conference section on the website specifically for business. Check it out here - www.visitinvernesslochness.com/conferences/ If you want to talk to us, we have a dedicated business tourism manager waiting for your call.
OK - enough about us. I hope this has been a useful introduction to our organisation and we look forward to talking to you in future. We all live here and impart our local knowledge willingly to help you, our visitors, enjoy your Loch Ness Inverness experience enough to leave with a lasting impression of our wonderful place.
